Controller

A private equity-backed, high-growth company in Austin is hiring a Controller to lead the accounting organization through its next stage of scale. You will own the close, the controls, and the reporting that both the leadership team and the firm's investors depend on, and you will build the processes a fast-growing company needs to stand on.

This role reports to the CFO and manages a team of four. It is a chance to step into a true number-two finance seat with real ownership from day one.

What you'll do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver accurate financials on a tight timeline
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of four across GL, AP, AR, and payroll
• Own the audit relationship and manage the annual audit to a clean opinion
• Build and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and month-end procedures that scale
• Deliver investor and board reporting packages alongside the CFO
• Manage cash, treasury, and working capital reporting
• Own technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Lead accounting systems improvements as the business scales

Compensation and benefits

• $165,000 to $200,000 base salary, depending on experience

Location
